As the semester comes to a close, I'm glad to say that I have a different mindset than when I started this course. Even in these short months I've been able to feel this change, and gain a clearer image of my not so distant future. This IS101 journey has been eyeopening on several occasions, and all for the better.
I have to say, this class felt more like a club than a college course. We've all been involved in each others' successes and challenges throughout the semester. And the whole way through has been filled with nothing but support from and for my fellow classmates.
I'm so glad to say that this course has made a bigger impact than just a few credits towards my degree. It's helped me to get on a better path towards making passion into reality. It was with the help of my CSN academic counselors and Professor Wu that I was able to decide on what specific degree to choose. I'm excited to share that I'm officially a CIT major! More formally; I'll be working towards my Associate of Applied Science degree in Computing and Information Technology, with an emphasis in Cyber Security-Digital Forensics.
Alright Brittany! You will do well in the IT field with your "street smart" and pedigree starting with the IC3-GS5 certificaiton :-) Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your IS101 journey and the impact it has on your path of turning your passion into reality. Very glad to hear you feel the support and the success sharing of your fellow classmates ^_^
ReplyDeleteThis class truly does feel different. Glad you found the path you want to take! Good luck on that journey!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! CSN has a cyber security club ( https://www.csn.edu/event/csn-cyber-security-club-csn-student-club-meeting ) that meets up on Fridays at the Cheyenne campus, although I'm not sure if the schedule will remain the same for next semester. Either way, congratulations on the change in major!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your journey! :)
ReplyDeleteGood job Brittany! I am very happy to hear that you were able to find your passion and have taken the steps to get there. I would say good luck but I know you wont need it :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you found your passion and projection to the near future! Good luck.
